Blog FAILURE!

Disclaimer: This Post is somewhat like Where's Waldo. But instead of Waldo, its Erin and instead of a Red Stripped Shirt, its a Really Cute, Ruffely Apron. Yes, i'm aware that I have it on in almost every picture. But look how well rounded the Apron is.....eating, singing, cooking, shooting.


The Talent Show (can we really call it that?)

OK So pretty much I'm a total failure at blogging. I haven't done it in like oh you know 3-4 months so here goes.

The best part of 2008 was that I got to go home for Thanksgiving and Christmas! I don't know how on earth I lucked out, but I did. The crappy thing... that for thanksgiving i was sick. But of course i was because i had been sick for like a month and on my second round or antibiotics (this is what you get for working in a hospital, where its a breeding ground for disease. And for those of you wondering, NO they don't care if nurses are sick, they make us work anyway!) So since we had the JoY of having about 50ish people at the house, I became HERMIT woman and never left my parents bedroom....... So here were some of the Thanksgiving highlights!




My cute mom and her cute sisters and mom! No we aren't Pioneers. I know what you're thinking. Sexy Back? We have a billion College age girls which = (Stop it! Not where I was going, you little....) I was saying that = lots of potato peelers!

So we did a Family Talent Show! And it was hilarious. Our family took it away from "family
show" and did JiNgLe BeLl RoCk (Means Girls Version, haha)



FAMILY TIME=ROCKBAND


Skeet Shooting, Wahoo, I'm Classy! This is for all of those people out there that think i'm the girly-est girl out there (ok so pretty much everyone thinks that)! Now if you can look past the fact that i'm in a ruffely apron while shooting a shotgun you would see that I've got GREAT FORM! Ok not really, like I even know what that is in this sport. But I did hit a pigoen (And I was one of the two girls that did, and NO it wasn't pure luck. I've got SkIlLs you've never seen. CLEARLY)

We were sad that Kassies and Danis families weren't able to make it this year! But boy did we have fun without you.............The best SURPRISE we found out about that day was........Dani is prego again (little hussy) And now that its been forever since I updated, we also know she's
having a BOY!!! OH BOY what do we do with one of those?

Ok so she may not be my biological child but she defiantly has a little of me in her! She loves BIG jewlery! When she gets to my house she goes to my earring board and picks out pair to put on! I go to her house and off comes my jewlery and onto Addie it goes.......the funniest is that she doesn't like her moms, she'll only wear mine! So when i told Addie she looked like Auntie Run Run the other day she made this face!!!! She would...........

Apples, apples and more apples!

CARAMEL APPLES

So one of the things that makes OCTOBER my FAVORITE month is that there are so many yummy treats! Caramel apples probably being the best. So every Oct Danny and I make apples with White Chocholate and Cinnamon and other yummy candy on them..So good! This was Addies first year of joining in the fun...the best was when were were unwrapping the caramels. She did good the first couple and then started eating them! She starting eating her apple pre-carameled too, she was too excited and couldn't wait!

Arizonia State Fair

So we hit up the Arizonia State Fair a few weekends ago. We went to the Weezer concert which was pretty funny, (odd little men), walked around and watched all the CARNIES and then we pretty much just ate all the good food. Because lets be honest thats what the fair is all about! P.S Biggest bags of cotten candy EVER!

JORDYS WORK!!!!

So my sister Jordyn is amazing and makes this adorable jewlery. She can pretty much make any color/design.....you just let her know! She also makes super cute earrings that are the same kinda style! So if anyone is interested in buying any, let me know! These are just a few of her things!

1. I'm OCD, i mean we all like things the way we like things but i take this to the extreme! To me everything has its place and way it goes (i.e. toilet paper always rolls off from the top, toilet seat LID, always down (even most girls leave this up YUK), vacuum cord wrapped counter clock-wise) those are just a few examples and the worst part is that i expect everybody around me to do things the exact same way or i flip!

2. People always tell me that i'm very girly and always "done up" but those that truly know me, know that i am a "closet dirty." I never hesitate to get up in the morning and run errands in my pjs (which my family so lovingly point out are see-through), hair, nor teeth brushed and no bra! And to add insult to injury i only wash my hair about every 5 days and have been known to go 7-8 days a few times!

3. Candy, candy and more candy, I live for candy, sweats, treats, you name it! If you wanna make me happy, buy me candy! But my favorite things ever is WATERMELON BUBBLE GUM! I could chew it all day everyday and i buy it just about every trip to Walmart!

4. Halloween is my favorite holiday! I love the month of OCT, the candy, the crisp autumn air (when i lived in Utah), fright mares, little kids all dressed up and everything SpOoKy!

5. I don't do late! I think its rude, inconsiderate and have a secret hate for people think that there is really such thing a fashionably late! That's just rude people's excuse for themselves! I think that if my mom can have seven kids and still get everywhere on time and most times early, then nobody has an excuse....we're all tired and busy! So people that know me know that when i say we are leaving for dinner at 6:00pm that means we are really leaving at 5:50! I am always early!!!!!

6. I talk to my mom every single day (at least once)! My sisters can attest to this! I know that it annoys my mom and that most times she doesn't have time to talk to me, but she is a total trooper! 97.1% of the time she puts on her happy voice and says "Hey Er, how are you?" even though she knows i don't even have anything to say, i just need to hear her voice! My hardest times=when she goes out of town and out of contact! I get a little depressed and have even been known to cry!

I LOVE NYC

So the Hills have finally hit up the BIG APPLE....that's right folks the Hills rocked NYC this last August and we had a blast! Our cousins Jeff and Nicole and Aunt Rischia flew in from Calgary to join in the fun total-ing us up at 14. You can probably imagine what its like trying to get 14 people on the subways......Ya lets not go there! Lets just put it this way, when you have that many people in NY you try to do things in the cheapest way and figuring out what subway package is the most cost efficient kinda sucks....especially when EVERYBODY in our family pretty much sucks at MATH!

So I thought i would throw out a few NYC highlights!
1. Arriving in NYC and passing the NY JETs in the airport as they pointed at me and talked about my Angle shirt! They pretty much loved it! (other members of the family may tell this memory different but hey its my blog)





2. Mets game- Mom and Dad getting beer dumped on them from the bleachers above, they were soaked! YUP GREAT SEATS!
3. ERIN TRIPPING AND FALLING IN CENTRAL PARK!! CLASSIC ME
4. HAHA Tanner tripping and pretty much taking another man out! It was hilarious
5. The look on mom and dads face as I started pole dancing in the subway-AHHH the skills they never knew i had! YIKES!!!!
6.Getting up at 4:00am for the Celion Deon concert at the today show and what do you know she cancelled! But we did make it on TV
7. Danielle tyring to buy a purse on Canal street- the Asians pretty much hate her! She couldn't catch a break! And she never did get her wallet!
8.Topher falling off the chair in the Hotel Lobby
9. Sitting on the subway coming home from the METs game when low and behold i notice Kassie's shoes-Maryjane Flats with white thick bobby socks and jean capris! Kassie there is never an excuse for that kind of style!
10. Tanner and Joe turning their pants into MAN-CAPRI'S while walking through Central park with purses! That is so STRAIT!
11. Seeing Katie Holmes with Surrie walking into Little Mermaid!



So some other fun things we did......

We all saw Wicked one night and it was amazing. The next night we all split up and went to different plays, some went to South Pacific, Chicago and Jersey Boys! Everybody had fun at all of them but LOVED Wicked in the end!

Played at Seaport Village after seeing the Bodies Exhibit.

My number one goal for the trip was to find the Naked Cowboy in Times Square...sadly we never did find him but we did find the Naked Cowgirl (almost put this in the highlights section but I'm still trying to decide if i would call it that! (65, saggy, droopy, wrinkly and way too much makeup))

We went to TOP OF THE ROCK! The view is amazing... and its unreal to think how many people live in one city!

Ate at SERENDIPITY for Laurens birthday! YUMMY-est desserts EVER! Plus it was funny because dad hates Tiffany Lamps and they are everywhere in that restaurant! You could say he was in his personal Hell!


Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping! But what better place then NYC?


What better place to be a kid then F.A.O. SCHWARTZ? We tried out our skills on THE BIG PIANO! Ya after years of lessons and i can't play anything! And now I'm sure we all got a fungus from all the bare feet that step on that thing!

Subways, Subways and more Subways!

Giant Candy Bar anyone? HERSHEY'S STORE- YUMMY!

We also waited in line for over an hour at the SHAKE SHACK!!! YUMMY food! It was this little hamburger joint in the middle of Madison Square Park and it was packed!

Over all the trip was great! But we could all have used a vacation from our vacation cause we walked everywhere! Now its back to work................
